Welcome to the Goodwood Angling Club

The Goodwood Angling Club was founded by a group of social angling friends who felt they would like to take on the league angler’s. The club boasts many Springbok Anglers from Johan van Greunen, Herman van Greunen, Richard Watson, Dennis Nel, Rodger Topless and Thom Nash, the Springbok team manager.

The club house was initially nicknamed “Die Glass Huis” and was located at the Goodwood Rugby Club. As a result of fundraising achieved by “Oom” Johnny Hugo land was purchased to build the club house where it has stood since 1990. The club house rightfully carries his name.

Over the years the Club House has continuously been upgraded and has grown from strength to strength, both financially and through membership, and is in essence the backbone of the club.
